Ok well me and my partner have made a psp related website: www.customizepsp.co.uk. I am probably willing to put in £100($200) from my bank account IF i can be certain (well I know its almost impossible to be certain, but VERY certain) if will be rewarding and worth it. Now £30($60) of that is going towards bandwidth and webspace (2gb webspace and 50gb bandwidth- good price?) Which leaves £70($140) for other used eg marketing. The only inflows at the moment are whatever google adsense gives us and the only outflows currently going is the.co.uk address. The website has been up for about 3 days. Thanks for reading and any replies are appreciated.
You can trying certian Gogole Adsense referrals related to your sites content, they can pay out a lot better sometimes then the contexual ads. Also, check out Commission Junction (CJ) they got some great affiliate programs.
I like the black 'n bleu colors Do you have other sources of revenue besides adsense? If not, I probably can't say anything useful I thought for a moment that people could send in their psp's and let them be customized and sent back to you. That would be nice. Or a place where you can buy psp's already customized, or a bit different they can customize their to-be psp themselves on your site and you customize the psp and send it over. I seem to have eruptions of ideas and expectations hah greetz, jobic
Thanks for the quick replies. Thanks, if i understand you correctly, I think i am alredy doing that? Where the adsense shows links about PSP. And thanks about the CJ tip ill check it out.
I like the black 'n bleu colors
Me to, my favorite colour scheme! No, not at this time. I quite like that idea, I would have to do somethin to earn their trust, 99% of people wouldn't trust a guy they have never met with their PSP.
Content is unique and good . Put adsense ads and then market your site through various forums. If you can't afford pay-per-click advertising then try social networking sites like myspace or facebook
A couple thoughts for you: 1 - change the permalinks structure on your wordpress installation. Right now you are using the default, so your pages load as "http://1360.co.uk/psp/?p=7" whereas you could have something like this "http://1360.co.uk/psp/reviews/manhunt/" 2 - Add a newsletter or feedburner subscriber box to the site. 3 - Fix your "About" page, it's just showing the default wordpress about page 4 - Spend $10 to get 5 distribution credits with isnare.com. Then write 5 good quality articles on the PSP and distribute them, this should get you a few hundred backlinks and will help with getting some traffic. 5 - Put in a comparison shopping page for every game/product. So somebody can click on a "Find the best priced PSP" link, which will load a page showing the prices for the PSP at various websites (each using your own affiliate link of course).
If you're going to do some sort of customisation service for psp's, you'd have normal psp's for sale. But your customers could then customize them, choose colors, maybe images or engravements. And when they decide "yup I want this pink psp with white bunnies all over it, complete with glitters" they can click on the order button and ofcourse it's going to cost them to have this done. But I was expecting this kind of service when I saw your url And yes you would need to build trust in order to have them sent their psp's, lots of testimonials of happy customers could help. But again it was just an idea that popped in my mind when I saw that url greetz, jobic
Wow thanks alot for all the posts. Very helpful! "but I was expecting this kind of service when I saw your url " Ah i see, well its not that sort of customizing, its customizing the look of whats on the psp (chaning the icons, font, wallpaper etc..) eg: And we provide all the files for psp owners to do this. Once again thanks for the great help, this is a gret forum with great members
