Best Way to Market Blogs and Maximise income - Advice building Network

Hey guys.

Just looking for some advice in the best way to market blogs. Currently i have 2 blogs. One here and the other one here The first one focuses on the Sony PSP and the 2nd focuses on multiformat Video Gaming.

Currently the Sony PSP blog recieves around 2000 uniques daily and the 2nd blog i launched last night. I currently just make $2 a day from ads which sums up to $60 monthly. I want to try maximise the revenue from both sites and need some help in doing so. Currently i use Vibrant Media's Intellitxt and Burst Media Ads that make me the $2 daily. An average article 200 words would cost up to $3/$4 to write. So that doesnt really give me much to work on.

I want to know what everyone thinks and the best way to promote the blogs and expand. Personally i think the sites arent making enough from ads. What do you think?

Any ideas on how to market these blogs even more. I want some real advice and not just sarcastic or one word responses. I hope to build a network of blogs in the future. But at the moment its not looking likely. is it?

Why is it that it costs $3 or $4 to write a 200 word entry? Are you saying that because that is what you feel your time is worth? Or am I misunderstanding something?

2000 uniques/2$ earnings?Hmmm,that sounds very low to me..I haven't used Intellitxt or Burst Media Ads..Have you tried Adsense?

 

I was on adsense, but did get kicked off. I know what your thinking, that i probably told people to click, but our site isnt like that. We appealed to Google several times but never succeeded in getting out account back.

How much would you expect a site recieving 2000 Uniques daily to be making everyday?

 

In regards of Adsense, some sites with 2,000 uniques could be making hundreds daily while others could be making nothing. It all depends on the quality of the traffic and how relevant it is. The same goes for non-adsense sites that sell their own products or services. 2,000 uniques is great in some markets but not so good in others - especially highly competitive ones.

 

i wish my sites would get 2000 uniques. I dont even think I get that with all my sites combined.

Have you tried checking out reviewme.com or payperpost.com? Poke around, you might get a better understanding of what posts are worth.

My newly launched blog that i launched 48 hours ago has recieved 400 and 600 uniques in the first 2 days of launch. Pretty good i think. Im aiming to stablise this at 1000 and then increase it more and more.

What other ways are there of generating revenue from a blog site like mine. I want to increase the revenue so i can hire writers, at the moment i make enough to hire half a writer to write half an article lol.
Any suggestions guys

 

You could sell video games and related physical media as an affiliate - either
directly or through Amazone or eBay.

You could write your own strategy guides as sell them as a stand alone eBook
or as a membership service with a recurring subscription.

You could sell ad space instead of relying on PPC - look into TextLinkAds.

You could write paid blog posts as suggested above - PayPerPost and Review
Me are very good.

You could put CPA offers on your blogs, since they appeal to game playing
markets and pay a lot higher than PPC.

And so on...

 

Thanks. Can someone tell me what sort of revenue you think i should be making a month with around 60,000-70,000 uniques Monthly and around 300,000 Page views monthly.

I just want an idea of what you guys think i should be making.

 

anyone... have any sort of idea?

 

60-70k / month should pay $750 on average, below that is junk or teen
traffic or content, above that is true quality traffic/content with refined
ad placement.
