Best way to market a blog?

    I have a blog setup, we are posting about 2 unique articles a day and about 1 unique video cast a week.

    We need to promote this blog, so it gets readers and steady traffic.

    our budget is reasonable, what would be the best avenues to spend money on to get traffic to the blog and registered readers?

    If you are looking for short term traffic then social media sites such as digg, stumble upon e.t.c are effective however they do bring untargeted traffic as well as targeted traffic.

    You could also try directory submissions for long term traffic and increased ranking in the search engines, if you want targeted traffic perhaps hire an SEO expert.

    I would say it really depends on the niche. You can use sites like digg, YouTube and more to get traffic but it really depends on the niche. Advertising the site on related blogs, forums and giving away some freebies are some of the basic ways of marketing a blog.
