I see webmasters earing so much from websites with only 10,000 uniques a day and makes me think "How did they do it?" I have a warez site www.rapidlinks.co.uk with around 28,000 unique hits a day with over 100,000 page views per day, and I am only making small profit of around $100 a month as my server cost is $250 per month (due to its locations and specs). I signed up to popunder who were paying $60 a day, but now they only pay for Russian traffic, meaning I am earning less than $0.01 a day from them so I have stopped using them. Now I have signed upto paypopup and am earning $8-12 a day (but only just started so not even sure if they pay or not). I also have a membership scheme on my site which brings in a small amount of income. Any ideas on how to increase my income through this site? Thanks.
You could try some CPA offers, there are offer you could place on your site that do not require the visitor to pay any money and you can get 12cent - $3 per sign up depending on the offer. With your traffic levels it would be worth testing. I have been using them for 6 months and they pay on time monthly. Always lots of offers, the link is in my sig.
You gotta break down your traffic into segments US , Canada , UK , Aus , Asia etc..... How long are people on the site for? is it 30 sec, is it 10 minutes it makes a large difference. Warez sites are notorious for have users that don't buy anything unless it's free. That in mind you need to find offers that mix into that theme. Having 28k uniques a day is worthless if they are are there for only a short time. I've seen website's who only get 1 - 5k a day but surf for an average of 5 - 10 minutes kill sites that get 10x that traffic but are gone in a matter of 30 sec or less.
You have 28,000 uniques a day? You sure it is not around a thousand or so? Hmmmm? *raises eyebrow* The whole thing is black, and hard to read. On top of that I was hit with two pop up ads. I quickly left. Besides, it is more difficult to make money off of ads with a board. Unless you put them inbetween posts in a thread.
Make some blogs targetting high paying keywords and advertise those blogs on your website for 100,000 page impressions daily only 1% ctr can create some magic
Option number 2: Forget about making money with your site. And worry about not going to jail, warez? pfff...
When you say black, do you mean completely black or? :S Because its a forum and the black is the forum style ... And most members said its easier to read now :S Maybe you are just different. And right now I am not at home so I cant, but look through my other threads in the Buy forums and you will see the statscounter ones for now.
I have a high a pretty high traffic social bookmarking site though nothing like your traffic! So it is a bit difficult to pick a target audience or keyword I ended up using cpa offers, cheap ones for postcode submit and stuff, only pay a buck but easy conversion I also added text-linkads and am seeing 50 bucks a month from that so far
Try selling text links on the site which would bring visitors to advertisers. Indeed you can not really get paid customers from warez sites however entertainment related sites could do well with the right kind of advertising so try to target these.
