    Why would it be offensive???

I wouldn't pay money to park my domains to a company with WhyPark when there are other companies out there that don't charge anything & can provide as good or nearly as good parking pages as them.

Personally, I use ParkingPanel as I've found them to pay higher than others.

Sedo parking is ok, but just if you've got a good domain. first day, you'll probably send website link to your friends and so on, and you'll earn 2-3$ from it, but after that... you'll hardly pass 0.10$ a day. parking is just a solution for lazy people in my opinion that aren't interested in building a small website and placing ads from which they could earn much more.

Or people with highly targetted traffic that see CTR rates over 100% and development lowers that a LOT.

I like WhyPark because even though you have to pay $99 upfront, you only pay that once and it lets you post 100 domains - so really $1 a domain is not much revenue to recoup. Especially since whypark does not take a cut of the site's revenue like all the others - you get 100%. You also choose which ad networks to use and article keywords etc. etc.

Now that said, I agree with others on this thread that parked domains are not a big money maker - but having a an account like this is great for all those domains you have sitting around doing nothing while you work on other sites. It will at least get them indexed and hopefully pulling in a few bucks here and there.

Also, whypark has a great affiliate program - so feel free to use my link above. :)

It's not a big money maker for most people because they don't understand the concept of type in traffic vs link/se traffic. Only domains with type in traffic generally speaking are making big $$$.

Also, you can generally make more in a big group (higher rev shares) than using your personal ad codes (unless you're a big player already).

I would much rather have 80% of an 80% rev share feed than 100% of a 50% rev share feed.

Affiliate links are not allowed in posts. You should know that as you've been on DP since 2005

From my experience Sedo does not pay as well, or monetize as well as others. Just depends on what type of domains you are parking. If you have high quality generics there are some out there that will outperform the rest.

If you would like to sell domain it is ok. But if you are trying to make it only for advertisement and to monetize your site it is a bad idea. Better is to make a website and push google adsense code.

Sedo pays the worst in the parking industry because they are international! They have other good aspects, but parking is not one of them. I pulled my few hundred domains out of Sedo that were making a whoping 50.00 to 60.00 a month and I have averaged over 1000.00 a month elsewhere for past four months. I have tried most parking companies. WhyPark is a ton of work with very little return. There are parking places that will pay well of you shop around. Namedrive pays about as well as Sedo so avoid them if you park to earn revenue, but they do have good service. Good parking companies are getting harder and harder to get into and setting higher and higher limits. I guess they see that they don't need us little guys anymore as they can make all they need buying Google and Yahoo ads with half the staff needed to run the little guys portfolios IMO. Parking will become obsolete in time. There will be sites that build free instant websites and host them for a percrntage of the revenue IMO.

I just parked a bunch of domains at Sedo and NameDrive :D This thread makes me think maybe I'd be better off sticking a website and some ads on them. I guess like kohashi points out - they need to be type in traffic names to get good traffic and returns.
Mine are a few kind of dumb ones I bought when I was just starting out and they've been just sitting around for ages doing nothing.

And you've just learned more than most of the people trying to park domains in that simple paragraph :)

If you dont have traffic, making a site with adsense is really the only way it will ever start generating anything because parking doesnt build traffic, it MONETIZES IT. So if you HAVE traffic (and it's targetted generally speaking) then it can often make more money than simple development.
