I'm running a monthly contest for my contest portal site and would like to get some advice on where I should seek for prize sponsorship? Is there any tips and trick on how to engage or request for sponsorship? Customize an e-mail and send it out to related companies. Just make it unique and pretend like THEY NEED YOU. You always want to be the one int he driver's seat, not the other way around. You have the traffic, they want the publicity by sponsoring the contest.
What you should do is contact up and coming websites who make ok money but not huge websites such as google.com or bet365.com, and i am sure you will deffently find a sponsorship. i would try www.ltdpoker.com i know him he may do u a sponsorship!
You have a really fun looking site! Definitely convince them that they will receive a lot of promotion from this. I once emailed Apple and got them to give away an iPod for a promotion, and it was for a relatively small site. Find something really exciting like an Apple product (that everyone seems to want), or a wii (somewhat hard to get otherwise), and then email a bunch of merchants that would sell those products. The other poster was right - convince them that this will give them great exposure and they would be crazy not to sponsor it.
