Best way to know backlinks

I want to ask the senior members of this forum that different websites show different number of back links for the same site. For instance backlinkwatch.com, yahoo site explorer and webconfs.com all show different number of back link for same site. . May i know that from where could we know the the exact back links that Google recognizes?

Google webmasters tool lets u know your total numbers of back links and their location. So leave all other webs, just visit google.com/webmasters

 

http://www.backlinkfinder.com/ is a nice place to get to know the amount of backlinks a site has and i have found it out to be usually accurate, however they don't provide msn/bing results. You may have more backlinks but if the search engine bots haven't located them then they wont show up.

 

I want to know the exact number of back links and thier source for other sites, which i don't own.

 

The simplest and most authentic way is to go to that search engine lets take example of google and my website www.itbuzz.co.cc.
1 Open google.com
2 Go to search bar
3 Type link:http://www.itbuzz.co.cc [Use ur website url here]
4 That it will reveal all the backlinks indexed for your website by that particular search engine.

 

Currently, no one backlink finder or script could find all backlinks to a website. Yahoo site explorer might get most results out, IMO.

I prefer you to use yahoo explorer or backlinkwatch.com.....Both are the sites provide exact details of your back links.

 

Yes Google webmasters tool also lets u know the details of ur back links including the website address. let me show u the snap shot.

I found the link from moresem very cool. It give the page rank the website on every search engine as well as the number of backlinks so that's great.

 

just search for link:www.yourdomainname.com in any search engine and you'll find the no. of links indexed by that search engine pointing to your website.

Hi, that is the site for your up-to-date information: backlinkfinder dot com. It rocks really.

 

You could also use backlinkcheck.com, wholinkstome.com to find backlinks your site has.

Since you are referring to other people's sites, that information has never been available and probably never will be available.

Yahoo Explorer will show the first 1,000, but that is NOT an indication that Google recognizes those
same links. In fact, I have seen nofollow links showing in Yahoo Explorer.

The most authentic way to find the back links which are indexed by google is .... google webmaster tools.
