Best way to insert images?

i want to use images from places like flickr and google image seach

is it best to download them and host on my server or just link to them

Also are there any good tools to quickly create a slideshow?

 

Do you know that these images are copyrighted by their owners and are not yours to put on your site ?

Doing so may result in your site being shut down.

Linking directly to them may result in a different image being sent to your visitors or your site being blocked from linking to them.

If you want to create a slideshow you better look for royalty free images or use your own.

 

I think it will be good to have a photobucket account. I am not suggesting you to upload the images to your server as it will consume too much server resource. If you have visited hosting sites which provide free hosting (may be offering unlimited space) but don't allow to excessive image hosting or for image hosting purpose. I have some software to create slide show but don't know with which you will be comfortable to use. If you are looking for software PM me.

Well obviously you just can't hot-link them from where you got them from otherwise you would be consuming the owner's bandwidth resources, & that is never done around here..
