Best way to increase CTR on a proxy

I think I found it :D I temporarily disabled my proxy due to server overload, while waiting on a memory upgrade. During the days the proxy has been turned off CTR has been above 40% as people click ads to find another proxy!

I will definitely turn my proxy off more often in the future.

Yeah no wonder pure MFA sites are taking over the Internet.

Thats plainly against the TOS of service though isnt it ?

You are not supposed to have google ads on pages with no content.

Even if you get good ctr, you will not get much money per click with a proxy site.

Agreed ryanman, proxy is low value but proxy is attractive because of high traffic.

My proxy has done 1,5m front page ad impressions so far this month.
Obviously i cant give you direct figures, but millions of ad impressions do earn money. if CTR is 2% (hypothetically), that equals lots of clicks no ?

Ok, so what your saying is make a proxy site and disable it but still keep the ads to get high CTR.

    Great idea!!!

Great idea for today.. but you will lose visitors who were coming daily. Does not show reliability

Why not direct such traffic to a rich content site with more pay per click & better ad placement. Think about how much you can make or already could have made with such traffic.

This is true for basically any site, also. I experimented by turning my forum offline, saying the board is too busy, and I got a lot more clicks than I usually do. :)

Better than with many of my other sites...$50 a day so can't complain.

And of course it won't work for long as your traffic will die down more for each day
