First think is make the relevancy in keywords and ads,and target your keywords in landing page.chose the exact match.
Hi animesh, How long does it usually take for the CTR effects to show? Does it usually take a very long time?
What Animesh said in his post is not true. Most of what he said is not true. CTR does play the major role in QS. In essence, your CTR is compared to the historical rate of that keyword which is the baseline (QS = 5). A standard deviation calculation is made and your QS determined how far away from the baseline you are. So if you are two SDs positively away from the mean, your QS will be 7. However, the CTR is normalized by position. Makes sense, right? Higher position gets a relatively higher click rate, same as with the SERPs so you have to account for position. Therefore, even a poor ad will get a higher absolute CTR at higher position (by bidding higher) but that won't change your QS. Another myth about QS he mentions: Landing is one of most important factor for QS. CTR is the determining factor and accounts for about 65% of the score. Another 25% or so is relevancy. So it is important but not the most important. It should be easy to ace that part, it's mainly using keywords related to your page (you don't use "dog food" keywords to promote cell phones). SEM is not SEO and having your keywords many times on your page will not increase your QS. The system does need a certain amount of data before you see a change in QS, if you see one at all. You can of course see an almost immediate effect when you compare the CTRs of ads. Wait until you get at least 20 clicks for each ad. Analyze and compare. The ad with the higher CTR is your winner. Pause the other and test this winner with a new ad. Repeat.
If you achieve higher quality score it can decrease your budget immensely. So work on your Adcopy, try to target for sitewide links and use google adwords keyword tool for creating optimized ads.
Hello friends.. really quality score help me to decrease my ppc cost for keywords. i am asking because my mostly keywords have good quality score but i am paying more for example keyword quality score is =10 but ppc cost is 40 Rs. So please help me for improve my cpc (cost per click)
I find that the best way to improve your quality score is to treat your campaign as if it's an SEO campaign as Google essentially base their quality score and rankings on the same factors the main difference is that one method is paid and the other is "free" if you wanna call it that.
Nice Question! First of all we need to understand what is a quality Score? Quality Score is calculated Ad Rank/ Maximum Bid. To make it higher & higher, one need to optimize the landing page & ad performance, the higher your quality score will be, the less you have to bid for a high ad rank. Google will let you know how much you have to bid to achieve a first page bid. If your quality score is high than you need to spend less on bids & your ads appear on top page. Three important factors should be considered: 1. Landing page 2. Ads 3. Keywords. All the best!!

1) Optimize your landing page to be relevant to your keywords and ads - Use URL to specific page, not only to home page - Use keywords from your ad group in landing your page 2) Use "concrete" and long tail keywords (eg. not only broad keywords "t-shirt" but use concrete "designed t-shirt", "unique t-shirt"...) - Descompose "one big" ad group into more smaller and more specific groups (eg. group "t-shirts" into "designed t-shirts", "unique t-shirts", "red t-shirts" - Use "phrare" and "excat" match - Use "search term report" to add more related keywords - Exclude negative keywords 3) Try to maximize your CTR. Write more then 1 text ad and check for CTR. Disable ads with low CTR and try to write other, better. Try and optimize. - Use your keyword in ad text. It will make your ad text bolded, so it's more visible on the screen. - You can use price in ad text, it attract more attention - Use exlamations mark
Hi, Your Keywords should be interacting with your text ads, Such as what keywords you are using that should be mingle into your ad. It can be increase your quality score.
Most of the things are covered here already. I would like to share some of my tips as I hardly see a Quality score below 6 for any of my campaigns. Do this-> Try to match the ad copy as much as possible to the landing page. Change landing page to match ad copy and vice versa. Do you know Google Adwords can pick up offers from your webpage and show them as links in your ad description instead of the text. This will only happen if you are accurately describing what's present on the landing page in your ad. Your CTR also affects your Quality score. So, try using Exact match keywords or a lot of negative keywords to make sure you have higher Click Through Rates.
