i'm trying to get the homepage of this site to look like this rendering I'm using the Twenty Eleven theme. The homepage is just a regular page, no special template, though on Reading Settings I selected it as the homepage. So I would like to add some php code the bottom in order to bring in the excerpts and thumbnails from 4 specific posts, just like in the jpg rendering. What's the best way to go about this? some sort of wp_query code? or get_posts? And how do I set it up? This sort of custom php code is not my strong suite so please bear with me. Please advise. Thanks in advance!
