Best Way To Get Onto Google Or Yahoo Search

what is the best/cheapest way to get a website onto the google or yahoo search? i have encountered many ways and many prices and am baffled as to which way is the best.

backlinks from reputable sites to your site - easiest and fastest way is to first submit your site to a few minor search engines - they have good PR and are visited regularly by G and Y
I submit new main sections via

to some 20 old minor SE
most of them have the listings up in less than a week

that has proven the fastest method for me to get new sections of my site AND far more importantly new sites into G and Y

 

if you mean getting your website indexed by Y or G, put a link on a popular website and then wait for the spiders to come.

I got my site into Y, by using my signature on this forum. Not the fastest way. But it'll get there.

concentrate on content (unique and lots of text) and try to linking from bigger and better ranking websites

 

If you have one website linking to your site then it will get listed in the search engines. Post the url here and it will be indexed within a week.

 

submit to directories and write in forums using a signature link

 

The best way is to keep posting in forums or to build lots of quality links.

Go for off-page optimization .......

 

an easy way for new sites to get listed in major SE is toi submit first to a few smaller but OLD SE - they normally list you within days and the major SE find their link to your site. at the same time you already get a few high OR backlinks for free.

some of these free URL submission services may be out of service - but at least a dozen or so still accept automated submission.

usually these minor ( old ) SE do require additional action after submission - within a brief time ( 24 hrs or so ) - like to click a link to confirm your valid email.

give it a try - its free and helped me many times.
you may also search google and find others - mostly they submit to the same SE

 

i think that there is no real answer... we all try doing the same stuff...

 

Adopt following steps on top of Google search
Have your title and url the same.
Pick unique keywords.
Use a site that google loves.
Get plenty of links to your site.
Write quality contents

if you want to be indexed on google very fast, try to add your link on website that is crawled by google two or three times within a week

 

To quickly get a page indexed, use some of the social bookmarking sites.

I used to find submitting a story to nestcape (pre propeller) would get it indexed within a day or so, now it doesn't appear to be so useful.

To widen the debate, do any of you use social bookmarking for quick indexing? if so, which ones?

 

i think the best way is finding some backlinks and waiting.

As other posters have said get your site linked to from a popular website such as popular social networking sites such as dig. The more links you get the quicker your site will get picked up by the google bot. Also read the google guidelines and register your site through google.

 

Hi, I have just had a website built for me and have been told that it will be about 4 weeks until Google picks up the site although Meta Tags have been completed.
