The whole point of a reciprocal link exchange is that the no follow tag is NOT present though....granted, it turns it in to a one way link as opposed to reciprocal. But is a sharp practice imo
For starters, directory submissions are very effective! I managed to rank 1st for a keyword which has 5,140,000 results in google... so anyone who says that directory submissions are s*hit they don't know what they're saying.... Of course the value of them are a little lower than the others backlinks (like blog post links ) but they still have some weight
Agreed.... Poor quality spammy directories will not help a site much (but wont hurt it) but being visible in decent directories can only be a good thing IMHO
1. Enhance the content - Link Baits are the best 2. Get quality relevant backlinks from trusted domains (one-ways are better) - mannual requests to the webmasters, and content sharing, making sure u dont spam. 3. Check out for the pages that get crawled very fast, and you can use them as your weapon by establishing your USP on that page as it has more chances to come up in ranks then other pages* 4. While working with links, dont opt in for quantity, although upto some extent quantity can help, but then boost comes from quality. 5. You can run a lil affiliate program and actually can lend out incentives to people.. 6. Approach in for some news feeds and highlight the latest upcomings on the products of your industry. 7. Make sure that you dont only optimize homepage, but the inner pages as well that are bound to get more traffic. 8. Submit some interesting press releases and do some blogging as well ( industry relevant , Make the titles dynamite and attractive) 9. talk to a brand ( in case you have a franchise/agency) and infact promoting a top brand can actually boost your traffic. 10. try out a lil offline marketing as well, for example telemarketing, advertisements (particularly of your portals). 11. Throw out some promotional offers and free samples(industry relevant) to your potential customers and see them coming back to you( conditions apply - depends on quality of your product) 12. Conduct certain Interviews of the people established (industry relevant) and publish that on your website.. yea thats hot these days as far as traffic is concerned. And those shud be enuff to give you Ideas.. That was from my post on SEO Chat.. Hope those helps.. Regards LKS
Directory submission is a good and easy solution, but be prepair to submit to at least 300-400 directories... with high PR...
Most likely Directory Submission , also if the directory you sign up on have a good PR , you're page will get more traffic.. Forum posting is another good way but it's also risky because you can get banned while spaming .. so you're posts have to be quality ones. ------------------------------------------- BlogBelea.BlogSpot.com
