I've recently switched from PPC to SEO and I was wondering what's the best way to get backlinks that help your SEO rankings? Currently I use articles, squidoo, hubpages, scribd, and I setup free Wordpress.com and Blogger blogs where I write an article and link back to my "money" site. A few of my sites are sitting real close to the first page and one of them is even on the first page but in the 4th spot and I want to get it to the top. I need some more ways of building quality backlinks to hopefully push these sites to the top or at least close to it. Should I just keep writing articles optimized for my main keyword or is there something else that works better? I went through some of the 30 day challenge and I'm using some of the strategies they teach in there so hopefully I'm doing this right. SEO is new to me, I used to just focus on PPC. Thanks for your help.
Backlinks from forum postings have done very well for me so far. It's so easy to search for something in forums that suits your niche and than create a little post about it with more information on your website.. And there are tons of forums on the net so..
Do you just put the link in your signature or can you put it in the actual post too? I wasn't aware that forum postings counted as a backlink I figured it was considered no-follow.
Blog Comments, Forum Posting, Article submission and social bookmarking are the recognized way to get backlinks for you. But getting backlinks related to your niche is a difficult task and it will add more to your site.
aim to post good and worthwhile comments on "do follow" sites and forums regarding your targeted niche, obviously with your backlink. This is a great way to build backlinks, but make sure you don't post useless stuff or it will just be deleted by a mod. congrats and good luck on your seo tasks.
You can use an addon like SearchStatus And even if it's nofollow, it still might give you traffic so that means extra earnings too
Blog comments work well, just search for do follow blogs there are a bunch of directories with categories and post comment on blogs in your niche. You could also try recipricol linking, email people with websites similar to yours and exchange links.
I think make an autoblog related your topic is nice.. Easy and you will get thousand of link for you.
If you want to save time, you could just buy links. If you go to the Warrior Forum (www.warriorforum.com) and look up the member Angela Edwards, she's selling packages of 30 backlinks per month, typically from PR6 - PR8 sites, with a couple of PR9's thrown in. Last time I checked, she was only charging 5 bucks a month, and the first month was free. There are a few other people over there selling similar packages too, but she's the only one I can think of at the moment.
-Creating and submitting articles with your link in. -Making profiles in forums with your link in there. -Posting on forums with link in your site -Commenting on high PR blogs or related blogs
