Whats the best way to get approved for YPN. Several websites I have had in the past have been denied. Are there certain niches that get approved easier than others?

Are you getting decent traffic on your websites? Is your website audience mostly from the US? Is your website well put together (nice and professional layout)???
You'll have a good chance to get accepted if you have what I just mentioned.

What would be the minimum traffic requirement for lets say a Financial site that gets 2000 visitors a day?

Have a look, they're always changing.

Simply put, your site needs to be highly trafficked. The limits can be negotiable, it's just if it's popular (forums like WHT, DP, etc).

Everyone on the outside looking in is so worried about joining. YPN is BROKEN. Has been broken a very long time. Many issues. Figure out something else and move on.

Do you receive an email if your site is denied? I sent in an application at least a month ago and havn't heard back from them yet.

YPN is Yahoo Publishing Network. Just Like Google Adsense Program.
