Hello all i was wondering what was the best way to generate $500, so that i could buy myself an ATV/Quad, because i would do freelancing, but no one wants to hire me.
I have several writers as friends. Many of them do freelance and mainly asked do you have a website with some of your work on it? Most of them agree it is hard to get started -- just NEVER give up -- sending out different articles every week is sometimes the only way. Wish you all the best and give me some idea exactly what type of freelancing are you most interested in so we will know better how to direct you. Do forum posting. It requires no skill at all. If you don't mind repetition, you've found your calling. (It may take several months working long hours however) Otherwise, offer free article writing and make a name for yourself before you start charging.
I respectfully disagree with doing articles for free as a way to make a name for yourself. Clients share information with each other - not only about how good a writer is, but how much the writer charges. If you start out writing for nothing, people will expect you to continue writing for nothing. If you need samples and references, get in touch with a local nonprofit and offer to do writing projects for a discounted rate. That way you'll get verifiable references while making money and helping out a good cause at the same time. Also make sure you get permission to share the work you complete with other potential clients.

Depends on your point of view. I am as successful as I need to be in regards to content writing, and this is how I started out. People will understand it is just to get some publicity if you state this in your thread- and will not expect free stuff in the future. You can build iTrader, Reputation, and new clients all in one action.Out of all the free articles I have done, most of the customers have come back wanting to pay for my services. It's hard to get the good money when no one has used your services.

I tried but then everyone yells at me that i am no good and then teh thread gets spammed, so then i have to close it down without anyone ever earning a cent.
Yes thats a good idea, but i dont have photoshop, looking to get it though, but the price is really steep.
