Hello, I have been trying to use Squidoo to make a bit of money recently, but im really struggling getting people to look at my articles with them only getting a view or two a day if I am lucky. What can I do to increase the amount of traffic coming to my lenses without spending any money? Of course I would be willing to do stuff myself such as forum posting etc. Thanks, looking forward to any help.
You can use articles linking back to your squidoo lens. There is a program out there that uses squidoo and getting traffic to your lens using free methods. The program is called "one week marketing" by potpie girl I found this blog post here: http://internetmarketingtraining1.blogspot.com/2013/09/the-best-way-to-make-money-online-using.html
Squidoo was supposed to be the place to which people came to discover new and exciting pages. And I believe it was at one time. As of now, I don't think it has a good standing with Google and its traffic is dying. If you have to drive traffic to your pages on Squidoo, I think it's time for you to move onto something else. Check out this two articles if you've got time: http://angel-on-squidoo.blogspot.com/2013/09/is-squidoo-dead.html http://www.bubblews.com/news/1071481-is-squidoo-dead
You will be better off creating your own site. This way you will be in control of your content. I have used squidoo and you are not in control of your own content. You can still use it but read the TOS..
Use youtube to make a video on the subject of your lens and create a back link to your lens in the YouTube discription.
I wrote several a couple years ago; they make me about $30-35 a month is all, but then again it's only a handful of articles. Interlinking your lenses is key (but for this to work you need similar topics). Good old fashioned SEO still works, and if it's graphical type stuff and you have an active following on Pinterest that can drive some traffic.
