Hi.. We are getting SEO clients who send us their keywords and ask us to make the proposal. I would like to know, whats the best way to estimate the time of the Google Top ranking for a keyword. For example, if a client comes and gives a keyword, "ABC" and he needs to be in Google top 10 results. How can we estimate how much months we need for that keyword to reach google top rankings ?
time required (months) = P * (1/12) *C/(S*12) *Pr/10 * NL/CL P= your current position in search engine for that keyword C= Competition ( Number of search results of that keyword) S= Average monthly search Pr= Page rank of the page NL= new inbound links you will build in next 12 months CL= your current inbound links.
lol! can't believe u went ahead and made a blog post on this. good luck on getting your clients to top 10 using that "formula"
did u actually try to use that formula to see what you can come up with? or use your common sense to see whether it makes any sense?
