Best way to check Backlinks?

there is no tool in the market that will show you all your backlinks..this is a widely known fact. however market samurai gives the best results IMO

 

How does it compare to the results from Google.

There are so many free tools available over the internet to check out the back links of your website. You can also use Google Toolbar in this regard!

 

I use three tools (by priority):
1. Google Webmasters Tools
2. Yahoo's: siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com
3. backlinkwatch.com

 

This can be difficult to find, the hardest part is not finding the links - its finding if they have any quality. For example, are they do-follow, has the page got a PR etc etc.

I keep getting conflicting number of backlinks on several sites I have tried.

I am using backlink watch and I seem to like it although I need to get another one to check my backlinks coz it seems like not all are showing

 

I have used only Yahoo till now. Still only 1 month old site and started getting 100 daily visitors.
Will look for the other listed options

I am only agree with yahoo explorer, it's more accurate.

 

Seriously peple...backlinkwatch.com is horrid. Use Linkdiagnosis.com for god's sake because it sorts the data it pulls from the Yahoo API. The only way to check the backlinks Google see's is in your webmaster area. link: command doesn't not even come close.
