What is the ultimate way to attract affiliates? Does it just take time? I realize JVs might be a big answer to this question. But what else? Joining many affiliate programs? Thanks, Xohaib
the easiest way to attract affiliate is to submit your site at clickbank..it cost money but it's worth.. Next thing work on your salespage and provide tools for affiliate It looks like a lot work but in the long run its worth JV's certainly give big answer to the question but finding the right JV partner is important shinkawa
Go to clickbank, find a top selling product in your niche (prefferably not directly competing), type that product into google and whammo you got affiliate sites in adwords on the right and all across the first few pages. Contact those affiliates with a good proposal to become your middle men too. If you have a good product, refined sales process, a good enough margin and offer large income splits on every sale then you'll get a few superstars. Now why did I just reveal that
Other than the suggestion above, offer your affiliate high percentage of earning. 60% to 70% is the suggest percentage. Maybe you will not earn much, but in the long run, it is one advantage because people will crazy promoting your product (in case your product is really good).
Participate in forum and affiliate directory/community and sign up program like share a sale/clickbank. .
If I understand you right, you got a product and wanna attract affiliates? I don't know about electronic products because I am not interested in them. If we speak about merchandise, the best thing is to sniff out who is an expert in your area. For example, if you are selling cat food, you will be searching for cat luver forums, cat hotels etc. Make sure their Alexa rank is at least 1,000,000 (or if you have a more reliable tool to estimate their traffic). Then just write a short letter introducing yourself and what you got on offer. Don't give away more than 15% (on price minus VAT and PP). I usually offer 10% to 12% and do just ok. What it is that you're selling after all?
1.) Submit your affiliate program to the affiliate program directories 2.) Offer high payouts 3.) Don't offer 30 day tracking - you should track affiliate referrals for at leas 365 days 4.) Use adwords and bid on related terms to recruit affiliates 5.) Post your opportunity in webmaster forums 6.) Find who is promoting the competition and offer them a higher payout/better deal 7.) Offer a 2 tier payout and get others to recruit affiliates ...be patient, it takes time. On average I think its 1 out of every 100 affiliates will be a super affiliate. On a side note, make sure your website converts into sales before attempting to recruit affiliates. If your site doesn't convert, you will lose affiliates fast and never convince them to come back.
what I have found is that most of the major affiliate program directories and services like CJ and Pepperjam are great ways to get exposure to your affiliate program. Many of them will work with you on the setup fee's if you have a good program and they feel it will convert. I contacted each major affiliate network when I first started promoting our program and when speaking to them about my companies affiliate program and a $100 per sale rate, they had no hesitation in waving those "Startup Fees" they love to charge. Of course an account needed to still be pre-loaded with money to pay the affiliates in their network for sales they made, but it made it a lot easier to get involved because there was no wasted setup fees. A lot of times a quick phonecall can make it happen for you!
