I have created a new blog that focuses on roadside trash (com). I have yet to create a design if you look at it. I want to allow people to post their own comments and pictures on this topic. What is the best way to do this? Only allow people to "comment" on posts we I make? I want people to be able to post their own pictures of road trash problems along with explaining where they were taken and the person's thoughts. Could I get your input?
I think you mean guest posts, right? In that case, you can make a post on your blog inviting them. Hope that helps.
Hi, That's very good idea to post an article regarding guest posts and if anyone comes forward the create author, contributor role to his login ( depends on you ) so that he can post the article. Regards, init2
You could use TDO Mini Forms, which sit in a sidebar widget and allow your users to upload images/text etc for new posts. This means you dont have to create user accounts for anyone and more so, you can set it so you, as Admin, have to approve any content that is uploaded before it goes live. Letting people just randomly upload stuff can be a worry as believe me people will upload ANYTHING and maybe not the sort of things you want on your site! I use the forms for image uploads, works a charm for me! http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/tdo-mini-forms/
set each user (or default new users) as contributers, this will allow them access to post to the site, however each post would have to be moderated and approved by someone with editorial status or above. (its what i use on my blog)
lol, this is the second post here asking for something similar. as just-4-teens mentioned, do that and use http://sourceforge.net/projects/role-manager
Install this plugin if you want people to add images to their comments. Note: this will add support for
