My company owns several websites. I spend all day managing the services and products end of it all. We have a web development company who handles all designs, graphics, web site managment etc etc etc.

Essentially this is what they handle:
Server maintanice (very little time required, only duing downtime or emergencies really)
General Web deisgn (front end and backend)
    Graphics design
Ad deisgn (banners, landing pages, emails etc.)

I would like to hire someone full time to handle this all. From what i know the technical skills to be required would be:
    general web design knowledge
experiance with ajax, aspx, php and other similar types of code

my question is. how much should i expect to pay for someone like this?

    4. nothing special is required. I have worked with people who have had masters and known just about nothing and then i have worked with high school drop outs who are masters.

Seems to me you can outsource this to somewhere like India. I have done this myself and there's an incredible amount of talent available there. You should be able to get someone competent for $500pm according to the specific requirements.

In Canada only $10/hour ? wow, guys, don't expect.

amazingronit, I would say $1500+ (upto $2-2,5k depending on complexity of his tasks, who knows how much are they) in 3rd world. He wants programmer + designer + a bit of server administration. It's a luck by itself to find someone with 3 skills on good level.

10/hours? Why don't they just work at walmart.... 1,500? Are you talking about a month or what? I made more than that coming out out high school working in a store...

You're talking about full time. Do you offer benefits? Do you file taxes? If you need someone who knows high level coding, also a designer and a bit of a tech guy..

A web designer alone make 35k a year for starters...Do you want to hire someone near your area? You will probably find someone who will work cheap online or from another country.

It also depends how big your company is and what kind of clients do you deal with of course...

For me every projects I found I won't do it for less than 1k for full website with full services.

For that kind of technical skill you should pay at least $20/hour

What about considering promoting a webdesign affiliate program. You bring them customers and they just send you the commissions.

Here is a review thread of mine for an affordable webdesign affiliate program: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=923133

    Good luck!
