Best way combining AdSense and Affiliate?

So far I have only created either AdSense or affiliate sites, but I'm now planning on creating a site which combines both of them.

How do you best combine these two on the same site without losing out too much on Adsense or affiliate?

You can actually consider to build a website in credit card niche, then you can use both of adsense and affiliate program on it

I sure can. Actually I could build any website in any niche and use both adsense and affiliate programs on it (as long as I stick to the TOS), so your reply makes absolutely no sense.

My question still remains: how do you combine adsense and affiliate on one site in the most efficient way?

The first site in my signature is one that combines affiliate programs with AdSense ads. If you look at any of the specific party-themed pages like this one (http://www.cakesandkids.com/abby_cadabby.html) you can see how I've combined the affiliate products with the AdSense ads.

In January I got about the same amount in revenue from both the affiliate programs and AdSense. I think this month (given the drop in what I'm earning per click on AdSense) I will probably make more on the affiliate programs.

Anyway, they seem to work OK together. No reason not to try it - good luck!

Just a hit and miss, you really need to test. I usually place:

    Right colum
    300x250 adsense block
    300x250 affiliates
    300x250 adsense block

Working great until now using a tweaked version of Vigilance Theme.

You need to be extremely savvy. If you're smart then you should be able to bring in traffic from long tails where people are ready to commit to buy a product. Your review or information should be extremely detailed and you must be able to convince the web user that using your affiliate link will provide you the best deal on the market with plenty of researched info on the product.

The idea of supplementing Adsense should be for a web user that will not buy today, or it could just be for a random visitor who hits up your page. The idea is that these people could atleast leave your page via an Adsense click where you can atleast earn a little revenue, rather than zip. If you have a graphical Adsense CPM banner at the bottom of the page then you will be earning on each page impression as well, so I think mixing the two is a good idea.
