    I've been video editing since '06, Sony Vegas Platinum is what I use most along with After Effects.
    Good price, easy to use, and fast rendering, it can do it all.
    Premier Pro is just about the same as vegas just a bit more technical. More powerful, with more Filters/Plug-ins, but I still perfer Vegas, especially for what you need it for.

    If you're trying to go all out, after effects is for you though.

    I use cyberlink power director. no need to be a expert. it is very easy to use. even you never have edited videos before..
