I've been using Ulead Video Studio 10 lately. Im not sure how the features compare to the others but it is extremely easy to use.

If you have a Mac, I highly suggest Final Cut Pro. I've used it in my high school's "Mac Lab" (which is a room with every kind of Mac you can imagine. All pimped out to the max, pretty much). Final Cut is just amazing.

I agree, Ulead's very easy to use. And it's reasonably priced too!

I'm recording videos to use on my website, but I am looking for a really nice yet simple to use video editing software which will allow me to do some basic things such as fading in and out, opening or closing credits and cut, move and delete certain parts of the video. I also need to resize the video while keeping the quality high.

Again, this is nothing too advanced, but I am looking to create professional looking videos.

Looking for suggestions for any software either paid or free. Your recommendations??

I personally do not like Micro$oft products, but hey "Movie Maker" is free (comes with xp+) and it does what you have just mentioned, give it a try, why not? ...

    Free: Windows Movie Maker
    Paid: Adobe Premiere

    IMHO (but no expert, granted!).

Windows Movie Maker is actually pretty decent as a basic free program, definitely worth starting out with that if you are new to video editing.

As for paid I personally use Cyberlink PowerDirector and have never even looked at other programs because it does every thing I need it to :)

don't use moviemaker. It lacks some of the output settings you need to make a decent looking video.

Yep. Not to mention you can't edit some popular video file formats.
