best video converter?

Trying to convert videos that are in wmv for the web. I know Google doesn't index some types of videos. What is the best converter and to what format!

Any help would be very much appreciated!

For me I use Total video converter it convert different types of video file format also you can watch video in different file format. I think .flv file format is good.

 

What do you mean by "Google doesn't index some types of videos"?
Format depends on the player you are going to use on your site, the most popular is flv though.
