I'm opening a few tv show websites and I was wondering what the BEST ad services are for me. I am NOT wanting my users to fill out surverys. I'm looking at displaying a 15-30sec commercial before the video begins. Check out http://blog.themeforest.net/screencasts/jquery-for-absolute-beginners-video-series/ for what I mean. simply forces you to watch a simple commercial before the video starts. Also, any other ways of getting money from a tv show site? I don't want to make people pay monthly fee's. I like having users pay absolutely nothing. The site will be set up as a wordpress site if that helps with anything. edit: doesn't matter where I have to upload my video, as long as the quality seems to still be good.
How much more specific do I need to be? Starting a site showing tv shows that are about 20 minutes long each.
An affiliate is basically the same as a car salesman. The car salesman did not make nor does he own the car, but if he does the work to sell the car he will get paid a commission. Basically the same thing applies to affiliate marketing. You pick a product that is not yours sign up (for an affiliate link) then use one of the many ways to send traffic (visitors) to your link when one of those people purchase, you make a commission. Usually these commissions are a % of the sale. I'd say 50% is the norm. Some merchants will even give you 100% of the (front end) sale. Hope this helps.
You can also place a survey on the page, where they have to take a survey to access it. Anywhere from $2.00 - $15.00.
I already explained that I do not want to use CPAlead or any other survey since I don't want to have my users give out their info
Be ware tho. They are very difficult to deal with, and will essentially take your money unless you watch them closely, and produce lots of leads. At least that's been my experience for the last 3 years.
arggghhh I saw the perfect solution for you the other day but for the life of me I cannot remember what it was called. It automatically placed adverts on embedded videos from megavideo etc and then paid you on a CPM basis. I will have a hunt around and report back if I find it, its relatively new but I ended up on their site the other day some how
