Hi there. I have both the Com and Co.uk for a "competitive" UK phrase, I have built the co.uk and want to know how best to use the com. Do I.. 1. Build a small site with my com and link it to my co.uk? my thoughts on this are having the exact same phrase in the URL of both will boost the co.uk when I link to it from the com? or 2. Build the co.uk and simply re-direct the com to the co.uk, will google see that I own both and give the co.uk and extra boost? My gut instinct is that by taking option 2 Google will not see I am playing games and add a boost due to the fact I own the com and co.uk... thing is can google pickup I own both or am I just hoping for too much? Thanks in advance for any input...
#2 won't particularly help your search engine rankings at all. #1 will if you can get some good backlinks to the .com site, and link each site to the other.
a mini site or a landing page on .com is better option with co.uk site linking also u can think of redirection
