Hello, What do you think that would be the best to promote a new website with a 5000-7000$ budget ? The site will be a new kind of online music store. It will be launched within 2 or 3 months.
If your idea is new and not searched for - it is best not to focus on PPC and SE. Instead, I would focus on social sites like Stumbleupon, Youtube, and social bookmarking sites like Digg. I would also pay bloggers to blog about your service. Finally, you should do a press release and do local marketing such as flyer distribution.
To add in, submit your site to as many as paid directories you can..choose directories with hight pagerank. normally paid directory will include your site as soon as possible
I agree with nizzam, go for directories. It will be more long term than wasting all of your money on PPC and other adverts. Good luck with the site.
go for paid directories with your budget, go for the most power full directories, buy links on high traffic similar sites, and also music related sites liek fan sites and what not which your site stocks music from with high traffic, also go for all areas of social bookmarking if you need help submitting to these pm me.
Hello friend 1- Add content, review disc and bands and optimized the pages with good keywords.. (Pay for writerts) 2- Buy Links in reputable directories, like Yahoo, and others.... 3- Buy links of related websites here in DP, or search on Google to find more website selling links.. 4- You can make a good video about your site and subit it on Youtube 5- Give prizes, you can promote with PPC music contents... This is my 2 cents Jakomo
How do you promote on social sites .. Even I want to promote my new website : http://bluetoad.com - an online magazine publishing website . How do you promote on digg and myspace ?
Try Federated Media, especially if you have a socially viral site. You can buy millions of adviews on quality sites like digg and such. No affiliate link.
I am not sure it is for us :-( For example, for Digg http://advertisers.federatedmedia.net/plan.php?site=digg the miminum bid is $44,940 for 3 millions pages views. And I think Bloggers and digg users will not convert on our music store.
Thanks for the tips. You are right SE (Directories,...) and PPC will not be very good for us in the beginning. We will send press releases. And try to push our news on social sites (Digg,...). In fact, we are looking for an original idea for "branding" our company before the release but we didn"t find it yet.
Payperpost works great on new mainstream sites. If you really have a cool idea, have engadet or some of the big tech blogs give you a write up.
Yep the idea is cool, and it should be also a profitable business for us and for our artists I don't like so much review.me and payperpost... I think our music store will generate enough free reviews Thanks for tip about engaget, I will try to ask reviews from tech blogs and probably music fan blogs.
I wasn't referring to using digg exclusively because I know their ad prices are ridiculous to say the least. What I was getting at is targeting your site toward the many music related sites that they have to offer.
I will take a second look at federatemedia ;-) But even it is very targeted, it looks very expensive compare to Adsense or Adbrite ads...
This is sort of off-topic, but how much can you do with that kind of budget? Like could you buy your way to PR5 or PR6?
think about getting out too get to local giggs people who go to giggs obviously are happy to spend cash on music a few flyers and an hour outside is very cheap and will get you more than just surfers
Ephemeral : To get a PR6, you only need few PR6 links or a PR7 link. So you don't need a so big budget at all...
themoneymaker, Thanks for the tip We will do flyers distribution. I think it is a good idea to get sales from a targeted audience
