    Hi there,

Im working on a travel related site that contains about 10 000 destinations. What's the best URL practive for ranking better, A or B?

    A: travel.com/destinations/europe/france/northern_france/paris/
    or
    B: travel.com/destination/paris

Please, I don't want to hear what you think looks the best anything like that. If you want to respond, please show some facts to back it up!

    i would recommended to use.

    Travel.com/destinations/Europe/France/Paris

,,, Why this is good because it covers:

For the page which about, than specific continent, and than country and than specific city/location for the same.

Use continent name, because there are several countries in Europe, you will confused when your site become more and more complex.

The best structure i have given you.

I would vote for a third option:
    C- travel.com/france/paris/

Short urls usually are preferred by search engines. And with a 2 level structure you can focus your pages on two types:
    C1- travel.com/countries
    C2- travel.com/countries/cities

On C1 pages you should focus on keywords related to that country. And that page will have links to C2 pages.
On C2 pages you should focus on keywords related to that city.

    I agree, travel.com/destinations/eurpoe/france/paris sounds great.

if your website is only for france, than go short one, but if it's world wide than "childfont" suggested the best way to avoid complexity.
Rep added for the same childfont.
