    I am a big fan of the tycoon type games. I wanted to know if there were any new good ones that I may not know about. Some of my favorites.

    Capitalism 2
    Restaurant Empire 2

    Any of you know of more detailed tycoon/sim games? I want something that will take some thought and be gratifying when you get deeper in the game. It doesn't even have to be a straight up tycoon game, maybe just have elements of a tycoon game. Like mount and blade is a good sandbox type game. Thats what I am in to.

    So any games you can think of?

    Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 is my favorite. Aside from that, some games I can think of in the same genre:

    Sim City 4
    Prison Tycoon 3
    Mall Tycoon (decent haven't tried the newer ones though)
    Ski Resort Tycoon Extreme (by Activision)
    School Tycoon
    Railroad Tycoon

    in fact just get the Tycoon Mega pack if you want, lots of great games in that ^_^. I think it was like $20 for it :)

    Really theme hospital? I heard that game wasnt that great so I never bothered, but is it fun?

    Yea I do agree with you all Rollercoaster Tycoon, and Zoo Tycoon are great games. Anything else though? Like are there lesser known games that may have slid under the radar that are atleast worth a try?

    I like these kind of games too - Having said that, I have only played roller coaster and Sim city 4

    Sim City 2000

    Also playing Second Life was sort of like a tycoon game. I cashed out my game money for real dollars. Profited a bit from gouging new users on real estate in it's prime.

    good, also friend. but I prefer a simpler game. with simple elements I too will feel like in real life simple. example of Farmville on Facebook and harvest moon on the Playstation
