    Hey everyone,

Recently I've noticed working alone on the computer gets quite dull.
To keep my mind off the dullness I started to throw a TV show on while a work.

So far I just re-run Entourage episodes and that seems to help quite a bit.
Was thinking maybe there's some CSI or other stuff that stimulates the mind? Lol

So just wanted to see if there are any specific TV shows that help people concentrate and get work done?

That doesn't really make sense. Instead, how about concentration music? There are plenty of 60+ min 'study music' videos on YouTube that are good for background noise. Also, I don't mind having on a live news channel in the background as it's not something you have to sit there and watch to enjoy, you can just listen.. Otherwise, pick a show that you have watched already so you don't get too involved in a distraction when you need to be working.

I don't get the point of a TV show during work though, unless you're just making or answering phone calls and doing simple tasks that don't require your full attention.

Yeah sorry, didn't clarify that. I only throw on TV shows that I've already seen.
It actually seems to improve my workflow and productivity.

My though was it might help stimulate memories regarding the TV show and this plays a part..

Well television does work. But the show has to be general. For instance, watching "dual survival" or "the deadliest catch" or even "travel channel shows" are usually great shows to have in the background because they don't really follow a general scripted show. You can pick that show up anywhere and you won't really lose anything. But the best way to get work done, especially using ones computer is with music.

Anyways, I started watching the walking dead a while back and often post about it at thewalkingdeadseason5.com
