I work pretty much completely in Photoshop itself at the minute, even for logos and other graphics - I was wondering if anyone had any tutorials in particular that they recommend to really learn the best of how to use illustrator to create these instead? Obviously illustrator is the preferred choice of tool, because of the ability to create vector images which is what you need ideally for a logo/graphic which may need to be resized.. So what do you all recommend? Looking to here from the best of you logo designers out there.
You might try A Guide to Inkscape. It's a different program, but it is a good tutorial on developing and editing scaled vector graphics. (My own graphic design associate, a very experienced (25yrs) designer and early adopter of Illustrator, says Inkscape is a slightly better svg IDE.) cheers, gary
Hmm never heard of inkscape before that looks interesting I'll have to do a bit of reading up about it! Anyone got any other suggestions? Possibly even other programs if there's offers out there better than Illustator?
Since Inkscape costs zip, and Illustrator is US$599., and I know of no better deals, get Inkscape and learn it. It will be every bit as good as Illustrator or Corel Draw. You should know that scaled vector graphics are an application of xml. If you know the schema, all you need is a text editor, but an IDE makes it lots easier. //edit: Forgot to mention, Inkscape has a built in tutorial with working examples. cheers, gary
Hmm, I wasn't aware of Inkscape, I've been using Illustrator for years now, but it looks like a good alternative. Check out vector.tutsplus.com for some cool Illustrator (vector) tutorials.
there are two link below, one for creating the logo online, other from software check yourself 1.Create Free Logos And Banners Online 2.Banner Maker Pro 7.0.5.1 with serial key
Good-tutorials.com is good. Inkscape is good especially as it is free but if you have illustrator stick to that as any adobe product like photoshop, flash, illustrator and indesign are able to copy and paste from one to the other.
