Is there a shortcut to getting more traffic that actually works? So far, I have tried blogging, guest blogging, facebook ads, google adwords, and fiverr purchases of "adsense" traffic. Anyone get any traction? I also have ezinearticles updated, and nothing.
I got good traffic from reddit, but my problem with it and other social bookmarking sites is that traffic mostly come from tablets and smartphones so selling them amazon products is a bit harder.
I did this, and then got banned from reddit, stumbleupon, and don't get much from facebook or google plus
Lol! I already got banned in reddit! Hopefully not in the others. I think reddit won't allow you to link to individual posts? They only want the main site, and they don't want repetitive links if I'm not mistaken
They won't let you post anything that their fans aren't already getting behind. I submitted a link that was better than what someone else posted and couldnt' get 1 like. You have to "know" people in there, or else they won't like you at all. I've tried.
I do the best with Google Traffic for Amazon. Yahoo answers sometimes works good for Amazon as well as maybe doing You Tube Video Product Reviews could bring some good traffic.
Don't use ezines. It will show up to content that is not unique. You can pay someone to write unique articles on Fiverr. Also pick keywords (and article titles) with low competition and you will rank faster, (use the keyword tool in google adwords to see how competitive a term is.) Organic is worth the wait.
I just promote my products socially and on some relevant forums. I'm also doing well on ListingDock.com, great place to buy/sell/trade anything.
You can make unboxing amazon products video and upload on youtube and put your link in the description. This way really target your traffic to your site.
If your reddit traffic mostly come from tablets and smartphone. Then maybe you can promote and sell them tablets and smartphone..
There really is no shortcut to getting quality traffic that converts to sales. Where e-commerce is concerned, whether it be Amazon, eBay, or your own website, you need to direct niche traffic that is most likely to be interested in your products. On an organic level, you do this with blog posts and social sharing. For instance, if you're selling name brand clothing, you'll want to blog about fashion, or something related to brand name clothing. But for this to be successful, you'll need high quality "non-salesy" consistent content. You should strive to do one post everyday then use social sharing to promote it. Individuals interested in fashion are probably interested in brand name clothes. Likewise, if you're selling electronics, you'll want to blog about tech-related stuff. It's not that difficult to get targeted traffic to your store, it just takes consistency, time and dedication.
I totally agree with you. The best way is always organic. You create a niche site that have plenty of amazing content then you can mix them with amazon product reviews or rotating banners and you are up to the task. There are no shortcut for this. You need time and consistency. Unless you want to spend good amount for advertising your blog/site. And according to the amazon TOS you can't directly promote any affiliate link through advertising it in program like adwords.
