Hello everyone, first time poster here..

I am new to SEO consulting but not new to SEO.

I have tracked data and reported on data for my own sites but I am now starting to do more consulting for clients.

For my own sites I have used Analytics and the free tools on DP and SEOBOOK and they are awesome!

I am now looking at consulting for a few customers and I am trying to figure out if I need to purchase some software to help automate the task of reporting progress and stats to these clients.

I generate now a weekly rankings report for Yahoo, MSN, and Google for about 20 keyword combos for my personal sites. I would like to do the same for my clients but probably now report up to the top 100 rankings and also more keyword combos. I am thinking i might need to use some software like webceo or web position gold for this so when i take on more clients I will be able to manage it all well.

Does anyone have any experience generating weekly/monthly reports such as this with any of the commercial software out there. I do know that rankings are subject to change based on varying data centers/locations with these tools.

I am trying to figure out what data to show my clients on a weekly/monthly basis. I think setting up a Baseline rankings report then updating it on a weekly basis and possibly reporting monthly will work. Then i will also show a traffic report I can export out of Analytics.

I apologize about the lengthy post!

any help or experiences would be greatly appreciated.:)

I also have been looking for a software with good reporting feature and stopped at WebCEO because of their Report Viewer utility. It is great because I can schedule the reports I need and then provide my clients with a small utility that allow them to check the reports I have created in real-time.

And if sometimes I cannot use this feature for any reason I always can export and print reports (I have a professional edition so my reports are customized by me, with my logo and so on) or also I can send the reports to the client via e-mail. It really suits me.

You can use my software for that. It doesn't send reports (will add this feature soon) but it pulls ranking data (and much more data that is SEO related) on a weekly basis and is able to show historical graph and send you alerts if thresholds are met (those are calculated according to the baseline).
