I have a new site in which I need to draw some pictures of how to tie knots and other detailed how-to's? I am useless at drawing with the mouse so what is the best tool to use?

Either Adobe Illustrator's Pen Tool or Corel Draw, both would work fine to draw knots.

Only Corel Draw is best than others for this purpose. it is not complicated for the beginners.

coreldraw, line tool, 2points or 3points and if you use the "shift" key, you can draw also orthogonal.

You can pick up a Bamboo pen and pad for under $100 they work good for entry level drawing tools.

Kudos buddy. GIMP is the way to go. I have to point out that you can use it on any OS, not just linux-based. Oh, did I mention GIMP is freeware? :p

    +1 for GIMP
