What's the best time of day to twit in order to get new followers? I guess I'm asking, what time is the peak of traffic/activity?

Hello, I think if you want to twit there is no the best time of day to do such activity. You need to do it as many times as possible. But, there is a tendency that the peak of traffic/activity is around 4 -8 pm.

The best time of day to post is when most of your followers are online reading / using / engaging on what ever social sites they use.

Using a tool like Buffer will allow you to spread your tweets out during the course of the day. Linking Social Bro to your Buffer account takes it to a whole new level. Social Bro will discover your followers and work out what times in the day they're most engaged, and then pass this info back to Buffer. The result... Buffers deploys your tweets at the time when your followers are the most engaged.

There are tools for that, for example WhenToTweet.com. They tell you what is the best time to tweet after analysing interactions of your followers.
