Hi, what is the best time for start link building for a new site.I have created a new blog by wordpress on 5/11/2010 www.moviesonlinewatch.com. i want to know that ,i can start links building for it. I have listen that creating links for a new site is harmfull and google penalized your site for search results.
You can start the link-building process soon after the site is live. Unless you indulge in unethical black-hat SEO, your site wont be penalised on Google. Also, before you start the link-building campaign, you must be well-versed with the dos and don'ts. There are a lot of myths on the different processes in SEO. All the best!
Most people do not build links properly.. There has been a huge misconception. For example.. Suppose you got 2 backlinks. One from http://mhz.herzeleid.com and another from http://eb.herzeleid.com. Now search engine will count this as 2 backlinks if the both domain has unique Class C IP address. If both have same Class C IP Address, Search engine will count as 1 link. To check go to http://www.ip-report.com/index.php and enter any domain name you want to check. If class C is duplicate google will see it has 1 backlink eventhough you build 10 backlinks.. If you are doing forum links etc.. So i suggest you to get a PRO VPN. So you can change ip's and build links. Same goes for web 2.0 properties. But i found one shocking thing in squidoo alone. These links were all indexed and from same IP. and they were all counted. Will update it soon here.
Google does not find and count your back links as soon as you drop one.So there is no question of penalization. Some points to remember - 1.Slow but Continuous link building 2.Link building from related sites (should not be too many if unrelated but high pr). 3.High Page Rank linkbacks 4.Zigzag pattern link building. 5.No massive link building from less or no content website.
@dreamshaper google showing squidoo lenses as a backlinks because all pages from the same site like same as your main website......yes you can start the link building when the site is live. but the main thing you should keep in mind that do only quality work & ethical seo.
The best time to start is right now! Take it at a steady pace and keep it going ... long term. As long at you have not automated the task and springing up too many links too soon ... it should not affect you.
yea linking building is good,and do it everyday but not more than two linkbacks per day.or spider or bot will think you are on a link farm
I think, you should start working with dome directories, social bookmarking submission then you can start link building...
I will add reasonable amount of quality content to my site. From Google Analytic when I find that my bounce rate becomes reasonable low, CTR is standard to my industry, and then I will commence link Building. Love to know any better ideas.
There also exists so called novice's bonus. So if you create new website and add many unique articles on it, you will be on average positions in search results some time. But if you don't start link-building during these two months of website's life, you will fall down.
it may seem a bit suspicious if a sudden shange in links will be without other changes to your site. I recommend starting your link building push at the same time as launching content. This way, there is a corresponding purpose behind a spike in your link profile.
Excellent advice. I'd add to that that you should start NOW, initially with only a few links. Then add gradually more links as you grow your content. After a certain time, you can start accelerating the addition of links quicker than your content, to make it look as if people "find" your site and link to it.
you should not start link building if your site is incomplete , you have to consider only that fact for link building
