Stonehenge, the usual London tourist attractions, Cornwall and south-west England (my neck of the woods) for beaches and historic towns like Glastonbury and Wells, the Lake District, and Portmeirion in Wales (setting for The Prisoner).
Suppose it all depends on your interests but Blackpool has always done something for me gotta love that pleasure beach, and there is just something about them rickety rackety trams, and of course the illuminations.
It does depend on your taste. The Lake District and Yorkshire Dales are beautiful. Blackpool is OK for a day, to be childish and waste money on silly things. London is a must. York and Lincoln have beautiful minsters. Scotland and North Wales have spectacular scenery. The Humber Bridge is quite a sight too.
I Like London Very Much!!!! I would visit The Tower of London on the River Thames, its a great place!! The Glastonbury festival, cause I like Music, what a lovely music that they play..!!! And Of course The Giant London Eye Ferris Wheel which has one of the greatest Views in The World. Then I'll Go To The West End theater, cause I like Dramas and Stuff.. I'll never Forget Visiting The Stratford-upon-Avon which is the birthplace of William Shakespeare whom i adore...Then The city of York. The City Birmingham I Love to see the legendary Museum of the Jewellery Quarter, and at last You should go to the Mysterious Standing Stones Of Stonehenge its Nice And Cool... Do I have to list more than these things..I Guess its Enough for today..
All the National Parks are extremely beautiful if you like the great outdoors and wildlife: Dartmoor, Exmoor, Brecon Beacons, Snowdonia, New Forest, Peak District, Lake District, Yorkshire Dales, North Yorkshire Moors, Pembrokeshire Coast, Northumberland and the South Downs. Also the Scottish Higlands, Trossachs and Lochs are beautiful scenery - wide open country with breath taking views. If you're interested in cities I can recommend London, Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle upon Tyne and Edinburgh. I don't recommend Alton Towers - you'll have wasted your journey if you end up there!
What about their pubs? My friend told me they're awesome and more lively than the ones here in Canada
I suppose it depends how old you are, whether you have children to entertain, and what your interests are. There's no one thing that will suit everyone.
Oh I forgot to take that into consideration If you're young and youthful, party the whole time there! http://www.enjoyengland.com/
I wrote an article - at article-gems that covers the places I would like to visit but have I missed anything major?
