Best text editor for MAC OS X 10.4.11

    Hi guys, I need a hand here.

    A few months ago I downloaded TextMate which I believed was great but unfortunately the trial version expired and I cant find the serial number to use it again.

    So then I downloaded BBEdit which I´m also having problems with cause I have a trial serial number so every 6 or 7 times I use BBEdit it shuts off by itself and I have to reinsert the serial number again. It´s quite annoying.

    Any ideas on how to make any of those editors work or get another one?

    Have you used textwrangler? It is also made bare bones software, the creators of bbedit.
