I agreed with magda, to start up with you could target for exact match phrases and longtail keywords. From my experience, when I started a new campaign, I often bid quite high (close to the max bid for that keyword) so that I'll get a few clicks. After that once my CTR is high, I could reduce the CPC for the same keywords, and still receive clicks.

So did you just go with some middle ground good keywords and just eat some $ in the beginning?

Basically, yes. I just found a useful blog on how to properly set up Adwords. Just search in Google for "10 Ways To Increase Your Adwords Quality Score"

I have my two sites artecasa[dot]pk and giftforus[dot]com I have already put there adsense. and it is earning just only $0.5/day becasue I have not much compaining now I am thinking to do adword for better traffic some where I read that if you use low coast kerword for adword and high paid keyword for adsense then your traffic will also increase and you could earn more. Plz I am new can any one guide me how I do that and what key word I should use ofr adword please visit my web site also. Thanks in advance

I can't seem to understand adwords (maybe because it updates randomly). I sometimes have good keywords that show up and never get clicked (who knows), but I had 40k impressions on the content network with 46 clicks. NOW, I have 0 impressions on the content network. Does it use your keywords at all or what?

If you have enough volume, google may offer you cost per conversion option. I think cost per conversion is a good option
