I want to make it easy for visitors to subscribe to updates on my blog. I have been trying to get Subscribe2 set u. There are some problems with it and features seem a little incomplete. What do you recommend for a subscribe plugin?
Subscribe2 is the good plugin and i dont know why u feel uncomfortable with it. I am unable to help you as i dont know other wordpress plugin. If i come to know then i will surely let you know.

Subscribe2 is a very established plugin in this category. It's probably your best bet -- for a free plugin. They recently released a new, updated version. Check it out, maybe it solves the problems you were having. Alternatively, you can use an autoresponder service such as GetResponse and through that service have your blog posts sent to your mailing list subscribers.
Subscribe2 is indeed a good choice, but I'd recommend Feedburner anytime over it. If you are trying to build a list, Aweber is the best choice and it can report your subscriber count to Feedburner also.
