Ok I have 5 sites which I have done the on page SEO for and have built links for all of them. All of my sites are indexed in Yahoo and are at least 4 months old. Now I do rank in Yahoo for a few keywords and have been trying to raise there rankings but they just won't budge in Yahoo as opposed to G. My sites are updated 2 times a week so I know thats not the problem the only thing I can think of is incoming links. Unfortunatly it seems that even when using proper anchor text no matter how many links I get I see no results in return even though I see my sites link pop in Yahoo increasing so I know Yahoo is finding the links but my sites wont budge. So as to my question what types of links does Yahoo prefer (i know one way are the best so other than that)? Directories, Blogs, reciprocal, sig links?
Rather than the type of Links try looking at your Keyword Prominence. Yahoo's indexing Algorithm is quite simple, compared to Google.
Yahoo's algorithm is more simple comparedto google - Keyword prominence plays a big role. check internal linking, keyword text in the url, first 100 words in a text browser. you can figure out what you are missing.
I got thousands of backlinks, and the ranking in Google kept going up, but in yahoo, I can't even find my website.
