Best Sources Online - New Directory Accepting Free Submissions

The Best Sources Online Web Directory was just launched and is accepting free submissions. Feel free to submit your sites.

Please read the Submission Guidelines page. If your site meets the guidelines, it will likely be accepted.

The captcha image verification is turned off for now to speed your submissions, but I wil be forced to turn it on as soon as someone starts spamming the directory.

Some notes:

1. Free Regular Link submissions are for the home page only. One page per domain. You can submit as many pages as you like using the Sponsored Link.

2. Free Regular Link submissions are limited to subcategories. Please find the best subcategory for your site.

3. A few reciprocals would be nice, but are not required.

4. Please post any recommendations or requests for new subcategories here. I will add subcatoegories that make good sense and fit the directory's guidelines.

Most submissions look pretty good. I am in the process of approving all the sites that fit the guidelines. Thanks for the submission!

Thus far, only a few people are not following the Submission Guidelines. If in doubt, please check it out.

Sorry, no gambling or casino sites at this time. Also, only one free submission per domain name. Please do not submit multiple subdomains for the same domain.

FYI for directory owners. There is a Web directories category with several subcategories. Please do not submit to unrelated top categories.

Thus far, about 80% are following the guidelines.

Most others are being moved to proper subcategories. Only a couple of spammers that were rejected.

your site is prompting me to download something when I try to load the index page...

 

I just checked it with several browsers, and do not see anything like that. What's the message?

The page is not loading any objects at all, other than a few images and a standard JavaScript and CSS files. There are no pop-ups. Is anyone else having any problems?

Is it possible that you have spyware on your PC that is being triggered somehow? I don't think it's coming from my site.

 

No problem. It was happening with IE, so I just switched to FireFox. Probably has something to do with the fact that I haven't rebooted in more than a week (an impressive feat, for Windoze )

I'm submitting now, but it's taking a while because the submission form resets itself every time I submit a site. Can that be fixed?

Most have been approved. I had to reject a few redirected pages and some where the submitter misrepresented the site in the description and category they submitted it to. Most people are doing a good job with the submissions.

I'm working on a nice backlog of sites right now.
