Best Software to convert .avi and .wmv videos to .flv files?

I'm looking for the best (free/paid) software to convert .avi/.wmv files to .flv files. If possible, this software should also be able to watermark the videos.

Any suggestions.

Flix Pro (On2 technologies) will do it, I have never used it so I can not say how good the quality of the encoding or the watermarking is.

I use Sorenson Squeeze 4.5 which does not do the watermark. but I don't mind, I would rather put a title deko or watermark on with a video editor, better control.
Sorenson Squeeze does do a fantastic job, very good quality, lots of different output codecs to choose from.. highly recommended.

You asked what was the BEST not what was free or cheap rubbish.
Pro's use sorenson squeeze, flix pro etc. which will produce far superior output to anything else mentioned in this thread (which don't include on2 vp6 codec). Most of the other software recommended in this thread isn't very good (in fact some of it is awful) and are just spammer replies form people who don't know anything, though these will probably suffice for DP low ballers who just want cheap cheap cheap.

 

hmm, I'd have to say the best is Flash Video Encoder, from Adobe. It comes free with Flash when you buy it and it's pretty much what the professionals use.

 

I have a Total converter..It can convert any video and audio in any file..and the best thing its free..

It depends on what you want and what you do not want. I don't know which one is the best for all people, for me, Moyea Video4Web Converter is good, which is free and do good conversion from video to flv.
