Best Software/Platform for New Site

Discussion in 'AdSense' started by Labrock, Nov 30, 2012.

I have a ten-year-old site that I built with Microsoft FrontPage. It is basically an online magazine that gets about 250,000 page views per month.

Adsense is the primary source of income although I have some other things as well.

An upgrade is long overdue but my web design experience includes a one-hour lesson on FrontPage. I need to start integrating social media, install a blog and a host of other things to maximize the sites potential.

I post this here because I am looking for software/platform that works very well with Adsense. This has to be the priority.

Ultimately, I'm looking to overhaul the site but keep the existing thousand pages or so. I will probably have to hire a company that does all of the above and teaches me how to take it from there.

    Any suggestions? Thanks.

Have a look at a content management system like Wordpress or Drupal.

That will be a big job, but you could pm me the link so i can take a look.
I might be able to help if i look at the site structure.
It might be possible to move it into wordpress.

There is actually a whole lot to worry about with this kind of move.
for example you will have many dead links and also this will have to be done manually
as frontpage does not store information into a database.

All major cms scripts work flawlessly with adsense so that will not be a problem. But if you want as little headache as possible I would go with wordpress because it's endlessly customizable and covers your need for a blog system. You can integrate all kinds of social media widgets and addons with ease.

I would recommend wordpress and woothemes as your framework. Take a look here:
