Best Software for Image Gallery?

Hey guys I was wondering if anyone can recommend a good, cheap (free would be better, but I'm willing to pay) software that allows me to post images on my website. What I want to do is have "gallery pages" that I can customize to fit the look of my site.

I'm pretty sure I'm not describing this correctly, but basically I'm looking for something that'll allow me to create different gallery topics that's easy to put up in bunches at a time.

I just want to be able to link to these galleries from various pages, etc. Any recommendations?

IrfanView is great - but unless something changed it's a desktop application.

I use coppermine and it's great... except that it is not possible to reorder pictures in an album (without lots of fiddling)

The next version (which may be out already, but not supported on Fantastico for my gallery site) will have the option to reorder pics.
