yeah...the guys are right..you might consider using indesign well coreldraw and pagemaker will also do. Actually I think it's safe to say that Indesign will be better because it has a close resemblance to illustrator and PS when it comes to functions and tools ( but not all).

yeah I forgot to mention that QuarksXpress is also good. It's just a matter of which you feel will be more convenient for you to use in case of function and usability of the software's interface.

Quark is losing it's market share mainly because Adobe makes everything else so importing and working with files between Illustrator/ Photoshop is easier with InDesign. Not to mention InDesign rocks :D

Yeah, quark is, or was, one of the leading programs used for editing.
But because Photoshop is used by probably every magazine editor out there, it's just easier to use another Adobe program.
I mean i'd rather use either one of these just as an ordinary word processing program to be honest.. but my college doesn't have either of them so it's a pain.
We're stuck with Microsoft word and paint shop pro :|
    eurgh.. disgusting.

I also recommend Indesign to you, though I'm not so familiar with it. And in addition to Indesign, I may also recommend some tools, such as kvisoft digital magazine software to you. That may trigger you inspiration about making unique and special digital magazines

Now a days QuarkXpress or Indesign is the best in the industry to making magazine layouts....!! It's just a matter of which you feel will be more convenient for you to use in case of function and usability of the software's interface.

Adobe Indesign will make things easier for you, and its becoming 'the one'. Even if you were not used to it, I would take a few days to get familiarized, because it works well with Photoshop.

Adobe Indesign for sure. It is integrated with Illustrator and Photoshop. Everything is smooth and easy.

The industry standard is Adobe InDesign. There may be cheaper alternatives, but if quality is your top concern, I wouldn't look anywhere else.
