I run writtalin.com and I'm looking for some awesome recommendations for social sharing plugins. I was using Cunjo, but I had some problems with Open Graph data while running this, so I switched to a more simplified plugin (visible now), but I don't like it quite as much. Ideally, I'd want something like the one seen here: http://designwebkit.com/project-news/50-best-posts-handpicked-by-50-design-bloggers/ Does anyone have a social plugin recommendation, preferably for free, that would give me that functionality and not interfere with OG data?
Personally I use the "social-count-plus" plugin (it is free, please search it since I cannot post URL's). It counts number of fans/followers and has a very easy to use widget too. Otherwise try contacting the designwebkit website you noticed above, and ask them which plugin they are using. I usually do that. Hope this helps.
Sharebar is best & suitable floating bar plugin with customized options. It adds a dynamic vertical box to the left of a blog post that contains links/buttons to popular social networking sites. You can add multiple social network icons from admin end. You can checkout & download plugin here https://wordpress.org/plugins/sharebar/
This seems fantastic. 1 quick question, though: does it have a way to edit how far from the top of the page the bar starts? Having some trouble there... Thank you!
To achieve this, you need to edit styles / adjust css for "sharebar" positions. You can customize the CSS by using DIV tag ID "#sharebar" #sharebar { top:35px; margin-left: -95px; }
I used the sharebar that phptechie recommended....how does everyone think it fits? http://www.writtalin.com The bar ended up f*cking with my scripts so trying another one...
please dont use offensive language , I just suggested you the plugin that is most suitable for your request & also you asked me how to do some tweaks & I suggested steps on how to do , I just helped you , it would be appreciated even if you don't thank me don't use foul languages , its doesn't look professional.
haha are you serious? I wasn't cussing at you...jeeze I just mean buttons to enable readers to share content.
JetPack has social sharing buttons, too. However, the Add This one does provide more functionality -- offers the chance to share in more places.
