Best Social Networks

Working in the IT, people are always suprised when I say I don't use social networking sites. I still can't full understand Twitter. Are supposed to text in what you are doing? I must make the time to go and read a guide to Twitter (hopefully that's one their site).

 

twitter, reddit and stumbleupon gives much better results. Even digg and yahoo buzz are overrated.

We actually use twitter to keep our customers informed of any notices they may have missed over email. It works pretty well

We don't have a facebook or anything like that, though

 

Myspace, facebook, twitter...Believed to be the most influential ones.
Based on my experience, I think that Social networking is good for building traffic but useless in building up backlinks. But maybe I'm not doing it in the right way as I'm a newbie to SEO.

Digg, Bybloglog, and Bloglines make lots of backlinks

 

I use Digg, Virb, Putfeed, and Twitter and they all bring me some traffic.
